GSDP Fact Sheet

India and Germany have a long-standing and fruitful cooperation in addressing challenges related to green and sustainable development, climate change and environment. Both countries share the understanding that achieving the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and addressing climate change are two of the most pressing global challenges. India and Germany acknowledge their joint responsibility for the protection of the planet, for sustainable and inclusive growth as well as resilient supply chains, leaving no-one behind. For accelerating the implementation of these shared commitments, the Indo-German cooperation was placed under a new umbrella in 2022: the Partnership for Green and Sustainable Development (GSDP). Through the Partnership, both countries will work together, learn from each other and facilitate the achievement of their respective objectives.
